St Bernard Hand-Painted Limoges Box Figurine

The St Bernard, famous as the gentle giant of the Alpine passes, is rendered here as a hand-painted porcelain Limoges box. It was made in Limoges, France, and it is a retired design.

Gentle Giant of the Alps

St Bernards earned their reputation as mountain rescue dogs, and their calm, patient nature has made them family favorites ever since. This porcelain portrait honors the breed in a size that fits easily in one hand, a fun contrast with the real dog.

Mountain Dog Memo

• A retired design from an earlier Limoges dog line
• A natural fit for a working breed or large dog collection
• Pairs well with ski lodge, alpine and winter themed pieces

Snowy Days and Fireside Shelves

Bring it out for a winter mantel, a cabin bookshelf, or a curio cabinet of breed figures. It suits the birthday of a St Bernard owner, a thank you for a rescue volunteer, or a memorial for a big dog with an even bigger heart.

It is a lot of dog in a very small piece of porcelain, and that is exactly its charm.
