Retired Boldly Striped Fish Porcelain Limoges Box

Bold stripes run the length of the fish on this striking porcelain piece, a reef dweller brought ashore. Retired from production, the design was hand-painted as a Limoges box in Limoges, France.

Stripes Beneath the Waves

Striped fish are among the first things snorkelers notice on a reef, darting through clear water in tidy schools. This box borrows that graphic look, giving the fish a confident pattern that stands out on a shelf as clearly as it would in the sea.

Beach House Shelf

• A retired design, hand-painted in Limoges, France
• Fits a fish, ocean or beach house collection
• Pairs with goldfish, seashell and sailboat pieces

For Divers and Anglers

It is a natural present for a scuba diver after a certification trip, a snorkeler back from the islands, or an angler who appreciates a fish without needing to catch it. Aquarium owners and marine biology students tend to enjoy it as well.

Display it in a bathroom with a seaside theme, on a beach cottage mantel, or in a curio cabinet among other ocean pieces. Since the design is retired, it fills a welcome spot in the cabinets of anyone who focuses on fish and coastal subjects.
