Dog with Ball Porcelain Limoges Box Figurine

Nothing says playtime quite like a dog with its ball, and this porcelain piece catches that eager, ready-to-run mood. It is a hand-painted porcelain Limoges box made in Limoges, France, from a retired design.

Throw It Again

The ball is the whole point for most dogs, and the figure here seems to know it. The scene is simple and familiar, painted by hand so that the dog and its favorite toy have the soft, individual finish collectors look for in older Limoges pieces.

The Fetch Files

• A retired design, no longer made
• Belongs with dog, pet and playtime collections
• Pairs with dog on lawn, dog house and leash themed boxes

Game Day for Dog People

Set it near the back door, on a mudroom shelf, or on a desk at the office for a quick reminder of who is waiting at home. It suits a new puppy celebration, a dog trainer's thank you, or a birthday for someone whose dog never tires of a game of fetch.

Fired in the Porcelain Capital

Limoges porcelain is hard-paste porcelain, fired at very high heat. That firing gives these small boxes their bright white body and strength.
