Dog on Lawn Retired Limoges Box Figurine

A contented dog settled on a patch of lawn is the whole story of this little porcelain piece, and it is told well. It is a hand-painted porcelain Limoges box made in Limoges, France, and it comes to us as a retired design.

A Good Day in the Yard

Anyone who has watched a dog claim the sunniest corner of the grass will know this scene at once. The lawn gives the figure a base to rest on, and the dog sits on top as the clear subject, painted by hand rather than printed, so each example has its own small differences in the brushwork.

Off the Leash and Into the Cabinet

• A retired Limoges design, no longer in regular production
• Belongs in a dog, pet or backyard themed grouping
• Pairs naturally with dog house, ball and leash pieces

Where the Grass Is Greener

Give it a spot on a sunny windowsill, a bookcase near the back door, or the desk of someone who keeps a photo of their dog close by. It suits a birthday for a devoted dog owner, a thank you for a favorite dog walker, or a quiet remembrance of a pet who loved the yard.

Small enough for the palm, it still has plenty of personality for a shelf.
