The class introduces the basics of tablet weaving, including the mechanics of twist, how to set up tablets, read patterns, warp the tablets, and start and finish bands.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eStudents will weave on a simple board loom—a simple setup that you can easily make at home—with a weighted warp to manage twist. Students may also choose to weave on their own inkle loom, if desired. No prior experience is required, and participants will be guided step by step through warping, weaving, and finishing their own custom pair of shoelaces.
